Do all babies have Blue eyes when born? When will I know her true color? When do they stop changing colors?

Most babies have their permanent eye color by the time they are 6 months old, and the *vast* majority by the first birthday. But there are exceptions. And eye color can change between slight variations (such as shades of blue, or between blue and gray) even in adulthood.

My daughter will turn 8 next week. Her eyes seemed almost black when she was born. Within a month, I saw a little change and said I thought they were lightening to a blue. Doctors, mothers, everyone said too early to tell. But this mother knew, and by 6 months, she clearly had light crystal blue eyes. This year, they have acquired some green tint to them, now they look like her dad's. So I don't know, maybe they change subtly through several years. Maybe she's not done yet. My eyes have always been that basic brown, so I am learning as we go.

No. The color is usually done changing at 6 months. Blonde blue eyed babies can become brown eyed brunette toddlers. The color usually only gets darker though. I've never heard of the eyes becoming a lighter color.

I was born with green eyes. They turned a light hazel though. Girls eyes darken during puberty, so now my eyes are a darker hazel. that's all the color you can expect after initial change.

If you and your family have blue eyes, and the father's does as well, you can expect your child's eyes to stay blue.

Most caucasian babies are born with blue eyes, and generally whatever color they are by 9 months old, they'll stay that color. I believe all black babies are born with brown eyes, and I don't know about asian babies. I would assume they're dark also.

By Nine months you'll know the true eye color...not all babies are born with blue eyes though.

my first sons eyes were blue and finally changed to a green/blue color. most of the time though they're sort of like a mood ring they change color constantly, but always have that green/blue in them. he gets that from his dad. my second son was born with grey eyes, but since then have changed to a brown/blue. my eyes were jet black when i was born and are now a medium brown. one of my cousins was the same, but her eyes are still dark brown/near black. every child is different. i noticed the color change in my boys before 12 months. whereas mine didn't change until i was 3 years old.

No, not all babies are born with blue eyes. I think 9 months is accurate. But life is ever changing, as are babies. I think that they could still change as late as a year.

Yes. I've heard all babies have blue eyes when they are born. It is hard to tell when they will change because everyone is different. My eyes turned brown before I was one, but one of my friend's eyes turned green when he started the sixth grade! That's all i can say.

I was born with brown eyes! My baby brother was born with blue eyes and his changed within a week after he was born!! I thought that was pretty cool! I wish they would have stayed blue, though!!!
