Depending on the pill, it might burn your throat. If you can't take a whole pill, I would suggest crushing it, and putting it in applesauce, unless it's the kind you can't crush. Then leave it whole, and take it with applesauce. Or, it it's a prescription medication, ask the dr. if you can have it in liquid form.

Some of the pills contents drugs than can harm your stomach. That's why there are lots of different pills. I would say most of them wont hurt to dissolve. But if the best way to take it were pulverized we already would have been using that.

I would think that they may be less effective depending on the pill. Buy a pill cutter to cut them in half or thirds much easier.

You get a nasty tasting drink instead of just popping them down your throat. If you have trouble swallowing them try this...take a drink to wet your throat, push the pill down the back of your tongue and swallow, drink more water if you need help swallowing. Just learn to take a pill instead of gagging yourself with gross tasting stuff.

Probably, not a good idea with pills that are time release. It will tell you on the package not to chew or breakup these type of pills.

Generally ok to do unless it is a time release pill which will say do not cut or crush pill.

it will be no different than drinking a glass of water when taking them. Just make sure you get all the residue out of the glass when you drink it, otherwise you won't get all of it.
