Star Jones actually quit. She gave 30 days notice. Star was supposed to let "The View" handle the announcement. But Star screwed up and announced it herself on live TV, without any advance warning. This lack of professionalism is what ticked off Barbara. The day after Star opened her yap, is when Barbara decided that Star should not return.

Actually what she did I watched it today. When she got married she had some people that did her wedding. What she did was had them to sponsor her wedding and she would give them free advertisement when she did the the view and she did not let the station know and they was pissed off at her for doing that. Because when they aired the show all she kept talking about the people that she gave free air time too. And when the people at the station talked to her about it she went into diva mood. And had refused to come into work and they told her that if she did not come into work that she could forget about her job. She came in but they eventually fired her.

I think marketing research shows that the majority of the viewers of "The View" dislike Star Jones. To respond to the audience, the headhonchos at "The View" thought it would help their ratings and please their viewers if Star Jones was let go.

Her contract was not renewed and she made the announcement that she was leaving the show earlier than they had planned. She made it seem like it was her idea to leave, but the show let her go. Barbara got ticked that Star made the announcement early and decided that she would leave the show immediately not later as originally planned. Just goes to show, you should never burn your bridges.

nothing its that she dont like rosie odonnell and since she starting in september so she just left. and two have you seen here she lost to much weight

I think they lost her because people got sick of her and her weight loss stories and her boob job and her me me me attitude.
