I just watch it and the family hates her why is that

In the beginnings of the series, Meg was usually depicted as having rather "typical" problems of teenagers. However, that whole concept is a bit played out. Eventually Meg just became ever more annoying and uninteresting. I guess the creators of Family Guy decided to relegate Meg into more of a background character now, and to use her as a target of comical abuse for the Griffin family, among others. In my opinion, it works much better this way.

It is reflective of an American culture that punishes the unattractive. Meg is in that awkward period as she physically develops and this is how Americans would treat such a person. It is exagerrated by the farce of the show, but it is true.

I think you should compare Meg to Lisa on the Simpsons. She is just to good, smart, and doesn't like it when her family does bad things for Peter and... oh crap... i forgot the sons name but him too.
