Well, although everyone said that the Netherlands and even…. England would beat Portugal, looks like they were sadly mistaken.
Ya, France beat Brasil, so what? Portugal isn’t going to fall after making it to the semi-finals for the first time since 1966!
Also, They’re gonna have major support since on the news it’s been saying that the brasillian fans are now cheering for Portugal (for obvious reasons).
They are going to make it to the finals and win, whether it be Germany or Italy!
Who thinks Portugal can go all the way?

I think that Portugal has the potential this time to go all the way for the following reasons ~
1) They have got a great Manager in Big Phil as he is a tactical genius ~ he calculates the opposition's weak points and understands his teams strong points and utilizes all these perfectly both in the starting 11 & substitutions when required ~ getting a Winning formula.
2) The Portugal players are motivated under his guidance and has been playing as a Team instead of independently ~ therefore grinding out key results from tough oppositions.
3) All the players know that this is the best shot they have for a W/C Victory and will give their everything for the remaining matches as they will never know when they will come this close again if they screw this up !!!!
4) Last of all, After the morale boosting England Victory, I think now the players know that nothing is impossible and they will be in a much better positive state of mind for the France Game.
Anyone writing this Team Off now will be making a Major Mistake ~~~~~~~~ they are my bet for the 2006 title !!!! The Brazil of Europe !!!!!

Portugal will get found out in the Semi-Final against a technically superior France. Defensively, the Portuguese are weak, and Henry and Zidane will run the show.

With Deco playing (and he surely will, in the next match), Portugal will be much stronger and they will probably make it past France. There's a single player that is not allowed to play, but he is a minor one (basically, the one who was subbing for Deco...) and there's not a problem.
In case they actually manage to play as they did in the previous matches, I have strong faith in them.
As for the brazillian supporters, yeah, that's true. Brazillian fans ALWAYS cheer for Portugal, if they aren't playing against that team. The same happened to Angola, who even said that they were really happy to face Portugal in the first match of their first World Cup ever.

NO!!! Portugal just isnt good enough to win the world cup! plus ive never been a fan of the portuguese even tho one of my buddies is portuguese! But I think Germany is the team to watch out for in the finals!

Well, with these four teams left, i'm definetlly supporting Portugal all the way, i think they have the best team of their football history, so they should seize that opportunity and materialize it into a world cup championship. They also have behind a great coach, Filipao can do wonders, he really gets the game and makes wonders

Well if the refs continue to send off opposition players, then yes Portugal will definetly win...although it might go to penalties as we know Portugal find it hard to beat 10 men.

YES YES YES! and even if not they made it farther than i thought they ever would. They made if farther than some of the best teams in the world or shall i know say former best teams in the world. i think portugal is already shining.
