Its also about hero's expectation (My Expectation) from life.
And it is also about hero's self centered view (Me attitude) because of which his friends and family all started drifting away from him.

My guess would be it is a coming of ages story. A story of the main character battling his demons and embracing his angels. Fighting for the good of mankind as a whole, and then geting laid.
