If you can let the carpet sit in the sun for a couple of days. This has worked for me.

For your urine smell, there is one remedy that really works. To get rid of the odor. First, take 1 part vinegar (yes, vinegar!) to two parts water, and saturate this into the carpet. I am assuming this piece of carpet is not put down on the floor at this time, so it won't hurt to saturate it. Scrub it in, and rinse with water, then saturate again with vinegar water. Let dry. Do NOT re-rinse. It will smell like vinegar until it is thoroughly dry, and for a day or two afterwords, but then you will NEVER smell the vinegar OR the dog urine again. For the stains, I recommend two things. If you have access to a carpet shampooer, I have had the best luck using liquid Tide or Gain, just a little, maybe an eighth to a quarter of a cup or so along with just a few teaspoons of bleach on my carpets. This amount is what I use in my shampooer, and my shampooer holds about 2 gallons of water, so adjust accordingly. I use the bleach, and my carpets are a medium brown. I recommend that you try this in an inconspicious area first if you are afraid the bleach may not work on your carpet, though. If you do not have access to a shampooer, there is a product called Resolve carpet spot cleaner, high traffic granules. I helped my mother get some really nasty stains out of her carpet, and my son uses it to clean up spots behind his little dog. Good luck with this!

My husband and I bought a house that had many pets in it with the prevous owner. This owner was sometimes too lazy to clean cages and let the pets out to go to the bathroom.
We had smells everywhere, the concrete floor especially, and couldn't get rid of them. We talked to a home health care worker who told me they use a product called PUSH. We bought it at a party supply store but they sell it at janitorial stores. It is not dangerous, but must be used according to directions, or it will not work, because it is a living thing.
PUSH contains a bacteria that eats other bacteria. Bad bacterias are what cause the odor you are smelling. So, if you use it, it will eat the bacteria and the smell is gone. We put it in a spray bottle. You can spray it anything. Once the bacteria is gone, so is the smell.
Then you just clean up the PUSH bacteria.
The only thing is that you have to use the PUSH the way it is directed on the back of the bottle or it won't work. Like, we had to put it on our floor, let it sit for 20 minutes and then dab it up with a sponge. You could see the stuff working and it bubbled up, etc. It killed the pet odor smell.
This worker said they used it on an old woman's mattress who had bladder control issues and it actually turned black from eating all of the bacteria! But, she did say after they did it several times (The mattress was destroyed and had been urinated on for several months) the smell was completely dissipated.

I used to work at a cleaning business. I don't know what kind of budget you are working with. But if you have $50 then you are good to go. Rent a rug doctor or likeness "commercial" carpet steamer $20-30, small bottle of cleaning solution $7-10, and go to a pet store for a urine remover solution $5-10, and carpet freshener $1-2 at a dollar store. I know that was looking like a mastercard commercial there for a second. Priceless.

Any commercial product, "if it works at all", will be too expensive to treat the entire carpet.
For fresh urine, vinegar and water will neutralize the acidity, kill odor and help prevent the animal from returning to the same spot.
That may be cat urine, and old. If you want to try vinegar, that's all I would do. It may still return later, since you will not be able to entirely remove from the latex. This is not visible, between the primary and secondary backing.
Those are not "stains". The dye, color, has been destroyed.
Doubtful, but one half cup vinegar to one gallon water. More is optional. It may only work temporarily.
Good luck.

You need something with active enzymes or the smell will never go away, I don't care what concoctions you might get on here. You can find these products made especially for urine stains at most pet stores. I don't think they are too expensive, but you do need to saturate the stain with them and let it air dry. Good luck.

I have FOUR dogs. Get a steam cleaner and fill the tank with half white vinegar, half hot water. Then keep going over the carpet. If you just can't find a friend with a steam cleaner, really douse the rug with the vinegar mixture then let it set in the sun. Douse again. Remember, when drying a rug in the sun, it may get lighter though none of mine have...and dry it FLAT or it will get a crease you can't get rid of.

Have you tried a steam cleaner? Then go to a pet store and get a cleaner there for the removal or smell.

Urine-off is on the internet
Natures Miracle is at pet stores. Less expensive.
I have had good results with both.
