Hi Annie: we're happy to help you with your homework, but it doesn't do you much good if we do it for you. Yours is a very simple question, and you can find the answers on a map, or by putting United States of America into the search box and asking Yahoo to find information for you. Then get a map, and see for yourself where they all are -- including Hawaii and Alaska, and find Los Angeles and San Francisco. Then look up your state, and find your home town in that state. When you do that, you'll have a much better idea of the geography of the United States. If you simply copy down an answer someone gives you, you haven't learned anything at all.
PS: Reading maps can be great fun. There are all sorts of weird and wonderful names on maps. There might be a lake, or a river with your name on it. Check in the back of your atlas, or put it in the Yahoo search and see what comes out!
