Alright.. heres the deal.. I'm getting married in a few months and my mom (Who isn't quite all there) has showed me some dresses she's picked out.. and wow.. I'm no expert on old lady clothes but its pretty bad... She says shes a 14 and wants to look younger.. Where can I find some good dresses for her online? Something elegant and maybe (if its possible) a little sexy.. She picks out boring tuppeware party attire and I don't want my mom looking like the mom in edward sissorhands.
Links please.

And yeah - ebay.com is probably the most obvious answers.. (and trust me im no amatuer ebayer) but i am an amatuer when it comes to picking out dresses for my 50 year old mom.. so im looking for a little more than just ebay.com.. how about some examples?

Hmmm... your mom is probably mid-aged so don't put her in those s***y types of clothes... LOL. Anyways... I would choose to go to a store like Fairweather or Le Chateau. They have really nice, elegant dresses for mid-aged-40s women, and I'm sure you can find something in there. Maybe consider a skirt and a nice blouse, but if you really want a dress try something maybe like a light purple, or like the theme colour. White will be too blending into the whole bride outfit and it'll make her look chubbier (no offense). Le Chateau has more sexier outfits, not one of those... Churchy, covered up ones probably your mom has picked out.
But, how will you tell her that you want to choose a different dress for her? And what if she doesn't like it?
Think about it, and good luck!

No dresses on line! You take mom out to a nice department store (Macy's, etc.) you take her to the ladies department where there are dressy dresses and ask the saleswoman to assist you. Ask her to show you dresses that would be appropriate for your wedding (explain if it is formal, the colors. etc.). She will pick some out and show your mom the dressing room and help her with the fit. She can model them for you. Don't try to sex mom up, if she wants conservative clothes, fine, she can be conservative and still be classy. Sexy is not classy, it can be trashy and you don't want mom looking like a ho at your wedding. She won't be happy and neither will you. Then, be a good son and take mom out for a nice lunch.

Try roamans.com. It's for larger sizes and there are some good choices there. I'm 29 and I got some pants and some work suits from there that I get compliments on every single time I wear them. Try the "Special Occasions" section.

You need to take your mom to a nice department store where you can get expert help. Don't try to buy over the Internet, you're not even sure of her size for pete sakes.
