Absolutely. You want to be sure that she is safe and this guy is not a safe person for her to be around! Just as you would protect her from any other danger, you need to protect her from this.

If you are really sure about the male friend is a sex felon, you should tell your wife. It's for her safety.
If she already know about that and feel Ok with her with this male friend. I think it should be OK.
