MY daughter and I were riding bareback so we decided, bareback why not barefoot, so, we were riding and I had went ahead and stopped to wait, when my daughter & horse got there, for some reason the horse smelled my toe's then licked them. I was ready though to pull back I was watching if she started to bite.It felt weird.

Thats awesome. Its never happened to me, i would have been a little worried... getting bit by a horse is no fun. I never have rode bareback ... barefoot... i think i'll try that tomorrow. haha thanks for the idea!

Umm. YES! I've seen some crazy psycho chicks.. like no jokes. I'm not saying beat the cr*p out of her but wtf. This one chick I knew got hammered. Like crazy crazy hammered in her room and passed out on the bathroom floor. These are 2 chicks (fraking morons!) were suppose to take care of her and she drank so much she could have easily gotten poisoned. I was a couple rooms down and they didn't even bother to call me. Instead they call this other dude, total random perv to take care of her. Wtf.. her bf was pissed that I wasn't called or that he wasn't at the very least. Those girls deserved to get slapped but they never did. They left her alone in the room with that guy.. wtf is wrong with people. And if a boy is defending himself, certainly. girls can get crazy violent and if he needs to stop her than yeah. This whole don't hit women thing needs to be outlawed when shes a maniac. with your reason, lily is right. Just ignore her, that would drive her crazier than a slap would.

My horse Bonita (see pic) does it all the time, I think she's doing it as a sign of acceptance and affection.
She never bites, but she does love licking my toes and neck. It does feel a bit wierd - maybe they taste nice - LOL!!

My horse reaches around and bites my boot or my pant leg.
If the horse kept licking, it may just be a sign of acceptance, or it may have been trying to get the salt off your skin. If you don't already, offer them a salt block. :)

He/she was probably getting the salt taste from your feet. That is weird. I'll have to tell my daughter to try to ride barefoot!

no never. a cat and a dog has licked my toes when I was changing shoes but never a horse! WOW!!!LOL!!!

my horse licksw my boots and my pant legs.... he never bites, but he love licking... he licks my back when im cleaning his hooves and licks my hair when im burshing his belly. goofy horses!!!!!!!!!!!!
