Is there a variety of rose called "Indian Beauty"? Both the flower and it's characteristic shade of red symbolically figure quite heavily in the film. I suppose you could, but traditionally movies that challenge an American audience to place itself in the mindset of another culture don't fare very well here, and that in itself would seem to doom this venture from the outset. Even movies with Indian subjects tell them from uniquely American perspectives, "Ghandi" and "House of Sand and Fog" come to mind.

First of all, what would make the movie better then the original?.....NOTHING!!!

Second of all, no one wants to see it again with a different cast, not even INDIAN people would make it more appealing.

and last, American's are perfectly happy with their own race, surely we do not think Indian men or women are any more beautiful then we are, I know it's an Indian pride thing, where Indian's think their more appealing then American's, yet you forgot one important fact..... America is FULL of MANY people of EVERY race, so seeing an Indian (from India) does not seem as appealing as you would like it to be.

I am sorry that I dont approve of your idea, please come up with a different idea if you want American's to like your ideas.

SURE!!!! Why not???? There's tons of horrible movies made all the time! American, Indian, Chinese, Amish "Beauty".... What's the difference? Along the same lines as the original, it would still be just as bad!

Rather insulting to have a middle aged Indian man groping a teenage Indian Girl. Might even be profain.

there's this gnawing emptiness in my heart
i don't know why
its that old feeling again
of being surrounded with friends yet feeling so alone
my heart's so heavy; its sinking
i find it difficult to breathe
i laugh but actually i cry
life's a stageplay
close the curtain on me

Freebird, "American" isn't a race, it's a nationality.
