South Carolina has some beautiful beaches... good to go to from Mar. - Sept. Hilton Head is the best one. Its the nicest, prettiest, and most resort-like. Good golfing, water park areas and etc. But Folly beach and Myrtle are nice too. Myrtle has tons of shopping and other things.

There is no ocean n South Carolina. The Atlantic Ocean is on the East coast. Just watch your weather channel for the info you need.

I live in Charleston South Carolina.
If you want a very down to earth, beach bum, bare foot type of town, go to Folly Beach.
If you want a more resort type of beach, go to Hilton Head.
If you want something sort of in between 'beach bum' and 'resort' go to Isle of Palms Beach.
If you want a party beach (and I mean 24-7 summer party) go to Myrtle Beach.
I prefer Folly beach, but I'm a total beach bum. Thats just my personality. The ocean is always the right temperature and the waves arent too high or too dull.
