I always drink 2 cup of water after getting 20 ml of nyquil the cough medicine, im wondering if water or any form of liquid have any effect on the medicine i just took. Would it have any effect at all regards with more effectiveness or less?

I know the taste of nyquil is nasty, I drink water after taking that stuff and it still helps me. I think you're perfectly fine.

You are taking 4 teaspoonfuls of nyquil..Do you know what nyquil is used for..First off peope use nyquil to get high, and somebody in my town died from that.. drinking water does not affect medicine..Maybe you should try cutting back on nyqil

The only form of liquid that would have an effect on your medicine would be alcohol, which you would not be drinking with medicine anyway.

Water won't do anything. Alcohol will make you loopier, caffeine will lessen the sleepiness it can cause.

I wouldnt think so. You are supposed to stay hydrated so if anything it may help.
