My water is stinky, too. I refuse to drink it, but I'll use it for cooking. I would try a Brita filter on your tap. It works fairly well, and you don't even want to know the stuff it traps. I would suggest getting Culligan or something for drinking water (big 5 gallon things of water on a stand .. just in case you never heard of it before :) )

Short of using a filter you can try "shocking" the well by adding about 1 gallon of bleach (per hundred feet of depth) and letting the well sit unused at least over night.

What this does is precipitate the sulfurous elements to the bottom of the well, below the pick up point. It is not a permanent solution but can give immediate improvement that will last for a while (depends on your usage.)
