it says on the tylenol bottle that if you take more than three drinks of alcoholic beverage a day, then do not take tylenol without consulting a doctor

Three drinks are three drinks. 3 beers, 3 wines, three whiskeys or any combination there of. But the main thing is HEED THAT WARNING! I had relatives that did not drink die of liver problems. But they did take Tylonol or other acetaminophen products on a regular basis. AND I had 2 nieces that ate a whole bottle of children's Tylonol and although the ER got most of it out of them they still admitted them to the hospital to watch for immediate liver problems.
If you take acetaminophen for pain, never exceed the recommended dosage, never drink alcohol, and try something else instead. If you stomach can tolerate aspirin, take that because it is actually good for the heart too.

I would only like to add one more item to what is already listed: be very careful with alcohol and Tylenol! Doctors and pharmacists always tell you not to mix alcohol and medications, but they don't tell you the whole story. Tylenol is hard on the liver, and over long treatment periods, it will cause liver damage; alcohol triples the damage that Tylenol causes. The alcohol potentiates the hepatotoxicity ability of Tylenol. If you must take a pain reliever while alcohol is in your system, take ibuprofen or aspirin, AVOID TYLENOL AT ALL COSTS!!!

Three alcoholic drinks, are just that, three beers, or 3, 4 ounce glasses of wine, or 3 ounces of hard liquor, or any combination there of. It is quite dangerous to mix alcohol and acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol. Mixing even one alcoholic drink and acetaminophen, could cause permanent damage to the liver.
Never mix alcohol and Tylenol.

I'm guessing whatever will give you a total of 3 oz. of alcohol in your body.
Basically any combination of 3 drinks consisting 8 oz. of beer, 4 oz. of wine, and/or 2 oz. of hard liquor.
