It matters very little what you study in college. I was a biology major, went to medical school and ended up in the Internet space. It is more impotant to study what interests you instead. If you like biology, then that is the right major for you. Otherwise, you should take the opportunity to explore what really interests you while you are in college.

Remember, contrary to popular beliefs, you can get a job with any college majors as long as you do a great job in whatever major you choose. Good luck!

Yes it's a great career field. I'm a biochemistry major right now and I love it. You definitely want to take chemistry and take alot of biology. It really depends on what you want to do with your biology degree. At my school biology major generally narrow the career field before they graduate and then go more specific to what they want to do. Generally I would narrow the field a little bit. It will make it easier to pick your PHD school if you choose to go to a Graduate school. Other then that good luck with what you want to do with your life.

Yes, it is a great major, depending on what you are going to do with it. I am currently a biology major with a minor in chemistry and nutrition. Chemistry is horrible but it eventually makes sense with the biology. Go for it - it's very interesting.

Biology is a stepping stonedegree, I have my bio degree and I also got certified to teach, however, I could have gone to med school, law school, vet, dental, etc.. If you know you want to study science but your not totally sure what to do with it, the bio is a great major to start since most science degrees have the same first two years anyway. Good Luck

Biology is a good major. It is a very general all around sort of subject. It will also make a lot of fields open for you to study after you finish your degree should you chose to.

Of course it is. There are tons of things you can do with a biology major: med school, vet school, research. It is a wonderful field to go into.

Of course but it depends on what you plan on doing. Are you going into medicine? Biomedical engineering? Are you going to be a teacher?

You can do a lot with the major but it's only within the realm of science.

Not if you want to be poor. Just make sure you get a job flipping cheese burgers while you're in school so you have something to fall back on when you get out.
