I was just on this great site called patioguides.com and it may be helpful to you. The site has a ton of articles on patios, building patios, patio furniture, and just about everything that you could want to know about making your background a great place to escape to. Hope this is helpful to you.

Wrought iron. If I could go back I'd have gotten wrought iron. Buy it once and youre done. Consider getting something that can hold a cushion for added comfort, but can be sat in without...know what I mean? Then if it's windy and dusty and you bring the cushions in for a few days, you can still sit outside when you want.
