Why aren't there any monarch butterflies in Omaha, Nebraska?

Usually I see many monarch butterflies in my flower garden, but this year I haven"t even seen one. I asked several other people and they haven't seen any either.

Maybe not as much food for them as before,butterflies migrate,i live in Calif. my parents came here from Wynot Neb. tell everyone we said hi :)

they dont like the climate
