I think you'll find that not all of us England supporters refer to Portugal as a small spanish village. You'll find that those who do have never actually been to Portugal.
Football wise, to the Uruguay fan....we beat you 2-1 a few months ago...so that's a moot point. Penalty shootouts..well i suppose if Gianluigi Buffon [without doubt the worlds best] didn't save a single penalty, people would say he was a poor goalkeeper. If you play football, which i suspect many who regard a goalkeepers performance in a shootout as a test of their ability don't, you'll find that it's a lottery and has more to do with the taker losing their nerve. Ricardo saved three very poor spot kicks..they were easy saves to make. Anyone who saw the whole match and saw the number of times he flapped at crosses and dropped shots (and in other games) and who has any idea about goalkeeping will know that all round...he's poor. Robinson didn't save the penalties, because those that hit the target were excellent penalties. If you're not a goalkeeper, then you have no clue, so cannot pass comment. Also, i think it's rich when people who have never been to a football match, nor travelled outside of their own countries pass judgement. If you don't go to football matches, and haven't been to the country you're slagging off....then keep your mouth shut. That applies to English fans slating the Portuguese and non-English who slate this country.

Well, it goes to show that some "small" Spanish village can whip a the grand mother of the Commonwealth. What will happen when Uruguay beats England in the future? Will England say that this country is an Argentine barrio?
England mainly lost because Robinson (the English GK) couldn't make one save! NOT 1!!! Why can't the media report that?
...cause they have been struck by the "limylight"!!!

We can most definitely call it envy.
Portugal is on its way to being one of the big names in soccer again. Eusebio led the team in 1966, Figo is leading this one. They are going to be the dark horse that is going to run away with the cup. They are still sore from losing the European Cup to Greece, and they are going to take it out on two unlucky teams that will cross their path. First goes France, next hopefully Italy in the finals.

Why would we be envious? England played the better game, even when we were a man down & our captain was injured Portugal couldn't beat us.
Now why did princess ronaldo try so hard to make rooney snap? can we call it cowardice?
