With subsequent pregnancies your uterus will sit lower as the ligaments holding it up have been stretched by your first pregnancy. Therefore you will feel more in your lower parts. With my second child, when he kicked , it felt like he was kicking my butt from the inside. I had alot of pressure down below as the pregnancy progressed. I also had many many many braxton hicks contractions. Mine just made my stomache tighten up for a minute and then relax...over and over again! Hope this helps!

Call the doctor. Sounds like more than Braxton Hicks. Usually if it is Braxton Hicks the contractions wouldn't feel that low. Expecially if you are feeling it in your tailbone and your pubic area.

I think you are starting to drop is all...however you should still report this to your doctor asap..they may have you go to the er so they can monitor you and your baby for a hour or so just to make sure nothing is abnormal...I also had a miscarriage before my current 8 month old and I recall a lot of back pressure, but then again, that was from the fetus dropping to expel itself...every pregnancy can be different whether its your first or your tenth..but just for you and your childs sake I would still tell my doctor and whatever you are physically doing, cut it in half...good luck...

Around the same time as you I also experienced severe lower back spasms. They would wake me in the night and i couldn't stand for long periods of time. My doctor told me that they were back muscle spasms and told me to rest with my feet up for 15 mins every two hours to relieve the pressure. I also slept with a body pillow between my knees to help with hip placement.
I would definately get checked out first to make sure that there isn't anything else wrong.

I've had 5 kids, 1 set of twins. How often are your back spasms? Its probably your starting to drop and feeling more pressure lower. Call your doc in the am if your still having it and concerned. I've had back labor with all of mine and for me it was more like someone is stabbing you in your back. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy! Hope you both are healthy!

I had Braxton Hicks contractions throughout my first pregnancy. They were painless, though, but still uncomfortable. Very strange. They happened around when my period would have been. Here is a link that discribes them and what to expect.

I suggest you call your doctor .This could be a premature labor .Even if it is Braxton Hicks it is best to be checked if you are worried.I know one of my children were born 6wks early and you are describing how I felt and I believe it may be also called back labor. Please call your doctor or go to the hospital if you need to.Good Luck and please let me know what happens!

See a doctor immediately. Go to the ER if necessary. You are too early in your pregnancy for that to be Braxton-Hicks. It sounds like premature labor to me.

Rest with your feet up and drink a lot of water. I think you should call the doctor if that doesn't help.
If you DO find relief by resting and water, still talk to your doctor about this at your next visit.
Try to stay calm...do your breathing exercises to focus and relax.
Good luck!
