look for a tiny pinhole next to the drive door and put a long pin /straightened paper clip in there. It should open the drawer.

have you tried the eject command from the drop down list in my computer (windows systems).
if the button on the front of the drive and the eject command will not open the drive do the following:
1 restart your computer wait for your systems BIOS screen to appear and hold the eject button on your CD drive if the disk ejects then it may be a configuration error or your system has not finished burning a disk if you were in the middle of burning.
if the drive still fails to eject power off the system befor your operating system starts to boot (power off at the mains not the switch on the front).
now find a screwdriver and open up your pc. disconnect the data cable (NOT THE FOUR CORE RED BLACK AND YELLOW) the WIDE one. now power up again and again holding the eject button if the drive still refuses to open then the drive may be dead. so to retrieve your disk your going to have to remove the drive from your computer (unscrew all the screws and remove all the cables holding the drive in its bay) once the drive is out of your pc you need to semi disassemble it carefully you do not want to damage your disk. find the screws holding the top cover on and remove them. once all screws ar removed you should be able to slice through any stickers that are preventing the top from being removed. now the top should be easy to remove and your disk easily retrieved.
now put your pc back together and reboot your system you can try and put the drive back together and re-install if you wish if the drive once installed behaves like nothing happened it may be the disk at fault. otherwise it's time to buy a new drive. in the uk go to www.dabs.com for the cheapest available via home delivery. or try your local pc hardware sully store.

If the CD drive will not physically open, it is probably frozen or the eject button is broken. If so, there is a tiny hole on top of the eject button, ur a paper clip point to press it.
However, if the drive wont open in My Computer, this could be the cause of several reasons.
1. Your CD disk itself is too scatched to be read or it is burnt in a speed too fast for your drive to read. In this case, the CD will not be recognized.
2. Your CD drive is broken or defective. To see if this is true, open my computers after you put in a CD that you know used to work. If the drive name is still [F:/] rather than the name of the CD, your CD drive is broken.
3. Your CD drive may be frozen. Try restarting your computer to fix this. If this continues, go to System Properties --> Hardware Profiles and see if the CD drive is working properly.
4. Perhaps the "CD" you put in is a DVD ROM or a CD-RW. If so, you will need a DVD reader to read it. CD-RWs can only be read by newer CD systems.
