It is not easy to care for the environment when you want to use the car and want to make nuclear bombs.
The environment comes second when there is the need for power.
Who is boss? Nature comes second.
When the population grows, basic human needs are more and the world turns on money. Not morals. If we all ran our lives on morals, no one would have to fight and no one would be stealing or raping or whatever.
We need money. So we use the car to got o work. More emmisions.
I wonder what people did before the air conditioners came in.
I wonder what people wore before leather was tanned and all the chemicals dumped into our waters.
What about millions of tons of sewer and nuclear waste?
Who cares? Best to ignore the questions and the environment and carry on making money. There are millions of dollars which people have because they did not care for the environment.
So my anser is money.

Because they are selfish,stupid jerks. They think the environment is so stupid, but it is not. Without trees we couldn't be alive. Some people i know love animals but don't care a bit about the environment. Hello?!?!? some animals eat leaves and plants

People care, just not many. Come live in my town for a month and see how any do care about the environment, but are very, VERY rude about it.

It's sad but people don't take time to do so. They are to caught up in this crazy world and all their technology. (BTW I love technology)
