Yes was at the park in one today it was great, we were having a picnic and heard it coming, we got everything under a pavilion and watched it roll in. about five min after the rain and thunder was on us WHAM 50 feet away a tree was hit by lighting, you smell the sulfur and are in amazement of the forces of mother nature.

Yep and the best ones are in the Midwest. There is nothing better then lightening storms and you're right the smell, there's nothing that even comes close. Thanks.....for the memories! OH I have the coolest picture, it is incredible. It is of a night time tornado that has the biggest bolt of lightening next to it so you could actually see the tornado. Some lucky photographer got the picture of a life time with this. It is amazing!!!!!!!!

Thunderstorms are absolutely fabulous! I love everything about them too... especially sitting out on a covered porch and watching them or watching lightening storms in the sky. I just love storms in general and the smell of rain is so refreshing it feels like a new beginning!

Ahhhh yes. Having been a flight attendant, the best place to see the actual lightning is from the cockpit of the airplane. What a spectacular sight. It's seems like you can just reach out and grab the energy. Totally different in the actual storm than what you experience on the ground.....awesome.

I could watch the lightning for hours. We've had some pretty amazing ones. One time the lightning was above the cloud cover and when it lit up the clouds, it looked just like something out of Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind.

Good for you! Are you going to become a storm chaser? Perhaps you should. I like some aspects of the storm but not every aspect. I'm told that more people get killed by lightning, or the fires they cause, and practically anything else other floods. Whatever you do enjoy it.

I do not like thunderstorms. The thunder and lightening scare me.

I love the sound of a thunderstorm especially when I can stay at home in bed and watch it out of a window.

I live for thunderstorms!
As I have always told people, this is is the ultimate object of God's creativity...
...any higher being can take a yellow orb, and throw it up in a blue, cloudless sky.
A creative Higher being will give you a thunderstorm....especially on your day off!

Yes! I hate it when we get tons of rain, but none of the "fun!" I love the lighting and thunder. And, if it's in the daytime, I love seeing the big dark clouds roil in the sky! It's awesome!
