I'm 5'3 and somewhere between 115 and 118. 150 pounds and 5'4 is overweight, unless she has an extreme amount of muscle or a very, very large bust. Even is she did have a large bust, she would probably still be overweight. If it seems like she's still growing rapidly, I wouldn't worry too much, as she will grow into the weight.
If her doctor says there is a problem or you think there is one, don't worry her too much. Try to get her to join a sport; many young girls enjoy them, and it's a great way to meet new friends. Also, try to make sure there isn't any junk food in your house. Eat at home more regularly, and eating at home doesn't mean ordering in. People eat far more when eating out and most meals that can be ordered in are unhealthy. If there is nothing there to eat that is unhealthy, there won't be any temptation.
Try to make your whole family healthier. Propose a walk and ask your daughter to join you. Spring and summer are great times for family hiking and biking outings. My mother would often start our spring with a trip to a park to go biking and boating. Make the activities fun, not about losing weight but about enjoying yourselves.
Lastly, be sure that she doesn't develop a negative body image. Tell her how nice she looks, how when she smiles she glows. Negative body images lead to eating disorders, which are really really awful, from personal experience.

Well, I was about 10 pounds less than that at that age. I didn't end up being a grotesquely fat adult, but I do fluctuate between 170 and 185. If I had controlled my weight problem at a younger age, I wouldn't have the problem I have now.
So, no, I don't think it's healthy for your daughter to weigh that much at such a young age. Don't pester her about losing weight, just provide healthy food for her and set a good example. Go for walks after dinner with her, encourage sports, eliminate all high-sugar/high-fat/high-carbohydrate foods from your home and replace them with smart choices. Make the change without nagging her. If you press the issue too much, she may either rebel or develop a bad body image and low self-esteem.
You have to be very careful when you speak to a teenager about losing weight because that is the time when a person's self-esteem is very fragile. A good friend of mine was just a little overweight as a teenager, but after being nagged about it by her aunt, she ended up putting on a lot more pounds and now she has a major problem.
Well, good luck!

that is considered overweight, but if she works out a lot, it could be muscle. I've also noticed that a lot of girls go through kind of a pudgy stage as they start developing. I weighed 150 lb when I was 13 (and was 5'4"), but later, I lost a bunch of weight and it also redistributed to make me look more womanly instead of a chunky little girl. I wouldn't worry about it right now. Just make sure she is eating properly and getting exercise, same as parents should do for all children, overweight or not.

Sex Girl
Age 13 Year
Optimal Height 155 Cms (61inches) Range (138 - 172 Cms) (54 inch-67inch)
Optimal Weight 45 kg (99lbs) Range (28 - 74 Kg) (62-163lbs)
at 150 and 5'4" she is 94th percentile and has a BMI of 26, so she is overweight but due to her age I do not recommend a diet for weight reduction, it would be better for her to grow into her weight by eating healthy

wow, ur daughter weighs bout the same as me, im a 15yr old boy that is 5'10 and work out at the gym 2 times a week, and plays sports, but in this day and age, 150lbs is nothing, 20 yrs ago it would be a problem, just cut back on some of the fastfood, not all cause tht $hit can be addicting, but some of it and fix a bit more healthy foods around the house

no that is obese. 150 at 13 would only be okay if she was about 5'8 or taller.. not to be rude but what do you feed her on a daily basis because a child her age should eat 3 meanls and a snack.
ex.
breakfast- 2eggs and toast lightly buttered or no butter. sausage and a cup of milk
lunch-a sandwich (not chips) and an apple with a cup of juice or water
dinner- Chiken(not smothered in grease)
with potatoes and veggies
snack atleast 2 hours before bedtime
make it something healthy
yogurt with apple slices or some crackers and cheese

Okay, not to insult anybody, but...How do you eat? Is there lots of nutritious snacks IN the house? Lots of fresh water, and no sugar monsters loaded with caffeine? What are the house sleeping habits?
These things have to be changed gradually, and applied consistently.
Now there is nothing wrong with eating 5 SMALL meals a day. This allows the body to get energy as it needs it, and keeps one from having to go nap after eating ( which is caused by the body diverting a lot of blood to the intestinal tract, to start the fuel transfer, moving it from the brain).
"As the parents, then so the child."

Well, if it was, would you be asking us about it?
And would you be putting the word help in capital letters, making it sound desperate? Go to a doctor. Search it on the internet. Look it up in some health books. Don't ask us!
Have a nice day! :)
