Yes. I am considering marrying a man of Chinese parents who was born here but I'm worried about his family and other Chinese shunning him since I hear that they call Chinese who marry whites "whitewashed" and "sellouts", etc. How common is this?

its usually the other way around, American men love foreign women, but most American woman don't care to much for foreign men...

Not really. I dated one once. He was extremely deceptive. He tried--and almost succeeded--to have me sign over my house to him. He also tried to get me to get pregnant because he wanted a Eurasian child. He thought they were beautiful. Children are very important to Chinese. That would possibly have been ok, except he planned to take the child to China (where I couldn't get it back) and raise it with his Asian ex-wife, because she couldn't have any children.
