not "like" it, but it either moved you, or you understood how hard it was back then better

I actually read this book on a trip to TX over 8 years ago. I was intro'd to it by my friends mom who was a teacher there (history). Only took me 2 or 3 days to read it but I was SO intrigued by it. It is, to this day, one of the most throught-provoking and heart-wrenching books I have ever read. Loved it and own it.

I've read it. As so many of the others have already said: it's an amazing and heart-wrenching experience of what it felt like to be in a Nazi concentration camp. A must-read for everyone concerned with tolerance and empathy, but it's difficult to say one "liked" it. The word "like" is, indeed, inadequate.

I thought that book was horrifically sad but entirely moving at the same time. The part that got to me the most was when they were running through the snow near the end and he wants to just leave his father behind because he was lagging and then hated himself for it. It was such a truthful moment, because there are things that every person thinks and then hates themself for it.

Night is a very powerful book and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It was required reading for us in 8th grade.

I read it recently. I feel like saying "I enjoyed it" isn't adequate or correct somehow. It haunted me, and I found myself trying to distance myself from it. This is a good sign of a good book -- it affected me on more than a surface level.

yeah i read it in two days, because the freaking book was addicting after they got into the concentration camp, because i wanted to know what would happen next and stuff, and yes i did like the book by the way..

Read it and enjoyed it. I'm a high school teacher, and rather than teach "Night", I teach "Milkweed" by Jerry Spinelli. I highly recommend it if you find "Night" too grim or too dense with Hebrew vocabulary and traditions.
