Licensing fees are part of it. Not to mention there are likely to be more that you can do on the PC version than the PS2 (or any other version for that matter). After all, you have access to expansions and mods that potentially give you unlimited possiblities.

It's because of the programming issues related to pc games vs. console games. Programmers have to spend an enormous amount of man hours trying to encompass the largest number of graphics/audio/processors to cover the most possible situations that can arise. With consoles (Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, etc...), the programmers only have to look at that one situation. PC's offer a whole different kind of challenge.

1) Sims2 is awesome, well now to answer the question. Its because the pc version has more stuff in it, better graphics and it takes more to run it on a computer then a ps2

it's the better version.
i find it easier to control and handle the pc version better.
you can also download cool things and pre-made people.
I think you could do that on ps2 if you had a internet adp. and an account.
i personly would go for the pc. you'll have more fun with it.

your probably trying to buy the special edition or w-e.. they have the PC game for i think $30.. but the special edition (comes with some DVD or something..) i think is $50
