Well, technically yes but dont worry. If only a couple of people use the same connection, not much change is noticed. However if they usually have a good connection and you use it too much, (downloading a million things at the same time) then they might notice it. At that point of time they could, if they wanted to, track their connection, call their company, have them come down, a pro will track you down, and you will be sent off to jail if they press charges. they again, they could do half of that themselves. by the way, this is very unlikely

If I understand the question correctly, there are ways to detect if someone is using your wireless internet connection, though, most users wouldn't know how.

simpe short answer is yes. if they check the router and the router log, they will see your pc or wireless device MAC address.
thats if you connect to there network only, just picking up the signal no they will not be able to see you until you physicaly connect.

Sure they can tell if they bother to look. On the otherhand I know people that have been getting free internet for over 18 months because no one ever checks. If they are not smart enough to secure their network, they probably are not smart enough to check for freeloaders. On the otherhand. perhaps they are bored cops looking to arrest someone for theft of services.

Stealing internet is a crime and i would be very cautious when doing so it is very easy to see if someone is connected to your wireless router Just think if you can access them so easy.....
how easy can they access you?
