I didn't know you COULD shave you vagina... hairs don't really grow inside your body.

If you mean your genital area, the only reason it would be bad is chaffing (aka rubbing and causing soreness), but that's usually only if you are overweight. Oh - and don't cut yourself. I'd imagine that would hurt. Some people say it's itchy when it grows back, but as long as you exfoliate, there will be no ingrown hairs or itchiness.

Otherwise it's nice, and much cleaner.

Well i believe it's not good to shave your vagina because for me as soon as I shave the hair off I start itching then I might form a Lil rash around the bikini area. But if your a long grower like myself I do recommend trimming with some scissors before your period keep it a lil fresh down there or hell all the time for the sake of your boyfriend if you know what I mean!!!!!!!!

because the shaving cream or soap you put down there is perfumed which isnt good..you should never use anything close to the vagina thats perfumed such as lotion...this could cause a yeast or bacterial infection...also the hair is a good protecter for the vagina and also a good padding that holds natural oils while having intercourse.....neatly trimming it is recommended before ever shaving it...if you do shave it or are thinking about it use a mild soap that wont irritate you and doesnt contain a lot of perfume...hope i helped

Hmm I didn't know it wasn't good to shave the hair on your pubic area unless you cut yourself. Its a matter of choice I cant see what harm it could cause. Its a pretty sticky situation when it starts growing back ..I figured you meant that area but a lot of people call it the vagina at least you didn't use a vulgar slang word for it when you asked.your question.if you didn't know the proper name for it don't let it bother you ,this is how you learn . Don't be afraid to ask : )

That hair was put there for a reason for one thing. Also a little shaving around the bikini line is ok....but a full on shave you will regret because in a few days you'll ahve millions of little red dots and ingrown hair and it will drive you BATTY! lol Just get scissors and trim. :) TRUST me. Been there done that! :-P

First of all, yes it is safe to shave, and I can tell you from experience, I wash with soap (purfume and no scent) and I haven't gotten a yeast infection. Getting a yeast infection has to do with the pH of your vagina not whether you shave or not. After the first few shaves it does itch, but it is not like that forever.

number one, it gets itchy when it grows back and if you shave it too often you will have bumps, rashes, and it will look worse down there than if you had hair. pubic hair is mean to cut down on frictioin during sex. keep it neat and trimmed, maybe just shave the sides.

well, most people don't have hair IN their vagina! Uck! If you are talking about the area around it, I don't know why it is bad. I don't like hair unless it is on my head, so everything is shaved.... ;)
