Why do DVD's have more French Captions than Spanish?

In america, there are more spanish speaking people than french people. I can see this being a possibility say...in Canada or France. Like all Adam Sandler movies have english and french language options, but no spanish, why is that?

Actually French isn't more interesting than Spanish.
