Alright. Take a deep breath.. things can work out.
1) Sometimes your period can skip a few months. Stress, diet, sleep cycles, hormone levels--they can all have an effect on your period. They can make your period late, or early.
2) Take a pregnancy test. They're inexpensive. But only worry about this if she is sexually active. If she's not been sexually active in the past 5 months, then it probably isn't pregnancy.
3) Drink more fluids. Dehydration can cause your period to go goofy. Caffiene free drinks are good, but water is best. You can add in crystal light or other powders to make your water better tasting if she's not into plain water.
4) If all these don't work, then she should go see a doctor. A regular physician (like a medical doctor) would do. They can check blood work to see if theres anything wrong in her blood. Sometimes infections can cause your period to go hay-wire also. Any chance she could have an STD? Certain STD's make you skip periods. Remember, not all STD's have symptoms. Best to check with a doctor. She could also go to a free clinic (like planned parenthood) for advice. They can do free tests for pregnancy, but they can't order the blood work, like checking your thyroid gland function.
Good luck, and I hope this helped.

If she has just started, don't worry. I had my first one, then it was six months before I had another one. Most women do NOT fit into the 28-day cycle. It is very unlikely that it is anything serious (unless she's pregnant). Her body is probably still adjusting. She may want to go to a doctor, but she will probably either be told not to worry or put on the Pill just to regulate her.

Nope. Not normal at all, if she has regular periods. She definitely needs to see a doctor. Can she be pregnant?
ALso, if she's lost a lot of weight and body fat lately, that will make your periods irregular and even stop them.
Yes, your friend needs to see a doctor. If it is serious, then yes, she needs to see a doctor. Or a pregnancy clinic.

Its not unusual to be irregular now and then. It can, however, be rather annoying and unnerving. I would go six months easy sometime,s or get it every other week. some women's chemestry are just like that. going on the pill can help regulate it, if your friend is concerned. plan parenthood is helpful. if it gets to more than a few months though she may want to go see a dr. it might be nothing, or it might be a sign of problems leter on.

She should go to the doctors and if she was on any birth control then I wouldn't worry about it too much because birth control regulates your period or she could be pregnant. Tell her to go get checked out. SOON!

It's not unheard of I have an irregular cycle myself, there are times I'll skip a couple of months, but she should really go see a Dr. to make sure nothing is wrong.

how old is your friend? was she regular before? is she sexually active? there are things you have to rule out to find out why she hasnt gotten her period. best thing to do is to tell her to visit a gynecologist. i think there's no other way around it. it could be serious or it could be simply that she is irregular by nature.

my best friend has only had 1 period in her entire life and she is in her mid twenties. it runs in her family. they are not regular until they loose their virginity. or if she is on birth control it could be messing her up.
