Gore asks "how can we reverse global climate change?". His question dismisses any discussion about whether global climate change (new speak) or global warming as the theory is more commonly referred to exists. He also is sidestepping the debate of whether or not if it is in fact happening, if it is caused by man? It is a politicly clever question because if you attempt to answer it you must first accept all of his positions as facts, which they are not. This is how sneaky politicians change the discussion and hush all who might intelligently disagree. Shouldn't we have a debate on whether or not global warming is occuring followed by a debate of all the causes before we plunge blindly headlong into trying to solve the problem?

WONDERING-
Are you serious? What's in it for him? How about book deals, speaking engagements, a movie, all of us on Yahoo Answers talking about him? Without Global Warming where would he be today? Old news, an also ran, a footnote in the Wild Bill era. Global warming, hanging chads, inventing the internet, and being a character in Love Story, that's a pretty sorry lineup for a once Vice President and Democrats favorite boy.

I think you are right. I answered his question and said that I believe global warming doesn't exist, and someone reported me. So sad.

Even George W. has decided that global warming is occuring. Unfortunutely, he wants to 'fix' without harming the economy.

The debate over whether it is occuring has long ended within the scientific community. It is now restricted to large companies fighting to protect their profit margins and reactionaries opposed to anything proposed by the left. (Please see mirror for example).

As for evidence, I recently heard that scientist studying air bubbles in the Greenland glacier found that CO2 levels are higher than they have been in since well before the last ice age. The industrial revolution that started almost 200 years ago is the primary cause for this.

Why would you ask a question you already think you know the answer to? (Why would Gore ask if global warming exists if he's convinced that it does?) He's just trying to get people to think seriously about the environment and consider what they personally can do to better the situation that he believes exists.

How many people would devote their lives to this topic? Why would he waste all these years trying to educate people about global warming if he didn't think it was fact? What's in it for him? Seriously though.

It begs the question that global warming is an accepted fact, when many are still uncommitted on this.

Do keep in mind he did "An Inconvenient Truth", where he believes GW is a fact, thus the leading question.

He invented the Internet. I would not believe anything he said.
Global warning is a cycle that has occurred since the earth was formed. We can discuss it but we can not change nature.

I agree with you. I answered his question too and stated I didn't believe anything he said and that I didn't think it was the real Al Gore asking the question and I got reported too.

A debate? There is no question about it. It does exist. The only debate would be is can we curb it and if so, how.
