In a interview she said she didnt want to work with people who don't like thier job (Alyssa Milano ) and complain about it.

She and Alyssa Milano were feuding behind the scenes. Shannon pulled a star trip and got the boot.
On screen, Prue died in "All Hell Breaks Loose." But it wasn't revealed until the following season in "Charmed Again" when Paige was brought in as the half Witch half White Lighter offspring of the Charmed Ones mother and her White Lighter lover.
Seasons 1 thru 5 are now on DVD.

Although nobody will admit it publicly, it is generally believed that it was because of a feud between Shannen and costar Alyssa Milano. Alyssa supposedly asked the producers to fire Shannen, and so Shannen left. Also, there is a theory that Shannen was fighting with the producers about storylines, and about punctuality and things like that. But neither Shannen, nor the producers will actually come out and say why she left. And, since its five years ago, people have mostly moved on to new topics of conversation.

Her head got to big. She wanted more to do with producing. The rest of the cast got sick of her. I heard Alyssa Milano gave ultimatums to which one stays. Shannon does that on all her shows.

I think she threw a whole bunch of tantrums about money and billing and character. She didn't get on with the cast and crew and had an all round bad attitude so she got fired.

i dont think here alyssa milano were getting on well and wasnt her and julian macmahon seeing eachother briefly there split may have added. personally dont think the shows ever being the same.
