Not real sure what we are going to be doing this year. Usually we either go to The Woodlands to view the Fireworks displays, then have BBQ with my hubby's family. Or we will go see my family and view the fireworks display that's done every year there by 1vet and 2 doctors who are also certified pyrotech's. Kinda creepy to learn that a vet you know well, an OB/GYN who works with your ob and an ER Dr. all are certified pyro's *LOL* Still they do a great job every year on the fireworks display. Course we could always just hang around the house and just VEG *lol*

Course I think I would rather be where you are *hehehe*.

I'm going to be sitting at this computer answering Sunshine's questions, and wishing I was wherever she is with Kevin Costner's cousin!

I'm probably going to a barbecue being thrown by one of my coworkers. It should be fun, but not as much fun as I used to have on the Fourth of July. When I was in high school, the kids I hung out with used to always have big parties and usually ended up getting into firecracker wars with each other. It was a lot of fun. Don't worry, though, nobody ever got hurt. (Not seriously anyway.) I guess I'm too old for that now.

I am planning to go to a party at the Marine House in Bamako, Mali, West Africa, to celebrate our Independence Day with other American citizens who are here. My husband is currently working here on the construction of a new American Embassy.
It will certainly be a treat to have such an opportunity in a foreign country. By the way, if anyone is interested, this is a delightful place to be!!!

I will go pick up my students' exams (take home test) at 8am, and then spend the rest of the day grading them.
Will take a break for lunch to meet some friends and former students at a Xinjiang resturant.
After I finish grading I will probably have a few drinks to celebrate the official start of my summer.

Hide. I've been hit with fireworks twice. Once at a public show when I was two and once by my boyfriend. That nicked my caratid artery. I almost died.

I am staying home and doing laundry. Pretty exciting, huh? I should be chosen as the best answer just because it is so pitiful.
