This is for all the Yankee "fans" who say 'they'll never change their name'. Do you know that they haven't ALWAYS been the Yankees? Learn your own stupid teams history before making a blanket staement like that. They began in BALTIMORE, as the Orioles (only way THAT would be sweeter is if they'd begun in Boston), then moved to New York and played as the Highlanders. They've never been losers? Does anyone remember when CBS owned the team in the late 60's, early 70's? They'd pan the "crowd" at Yankee Stadium and you'd see more empty seats than occupied ones...
Teams will always change cities, will always change names. Never say never. Big George won't always own the team, the next owner may be the Arte Moreno type and say the hell with tradition...let's rename the team the Bronx Moneygrubbers...

First of all, they would never change their name.

Second, if for some odd reason they would change their name, YES, I would still love them, why, simple, they have been my favorite ball team since I was 5 years old and saw my first game at Yankee Stadium, my dad knew a great ball club when he saw one!! He brought me up RIGHT!!

Third, they HAVE NEVER BEEN LOSERS, WHAT A BEES, OR HAS BEENS, The Tiger and Red Sox fans need to GET OVER THEMSELVES...wait maybe someday your teams will get to 26 RINGS!! Before you say we live in the past...because I've heard it all before...AT LEAST WE HAVE A PAST TO TALK ABOUT!!

New York will be proud to support their team no matter what the name...
The NY team name "I'm Better Than You So You Can Stick It In Your Ear" is more like it.
Yankees Schmankees...

Go Red Sox :)

Yeah I think they would still root for them as long as they kept the same people

I'd continue to see them as the soul-sucking money-hemmorhaging cancer to the game of baseball that they are.
