They are silicone nipples and the bottles usually have breast milk in them. I wish I had a dishwasher but I don't. I wash them with dawn dish detergent and hot water and I don't mix them with the other dishes. I would replace them if I used them for a couple of months but this starts to happen after only one week.

I also sterilize them with a steam sterilizer once a week.

I don't know what it is, but that darn Soy formula makes my bottles cloudy, and also the nipples a bit greasy. I have a small bucket used only for soapy water to wash the bottles and nipples in. I never mix them with my regular dishes to be washed. You can't get your sink clean enough in my opinion.

I like to boil the bottles a bit. I don't boil my nipples, but some do. I just replace them. I soak the bottles in water, empty, and then wash them in soapy HOT water. I notice that the sooner I wash them after feeding, the easier it is to clean them.

But this soy formula is sooooooooo terrible for that, and to boot, it likes to stain clothing!! I use oxy stain remover for the clothing.

You can also purchase JUST the nipples and not the bottle. Sometimes this works out pretty well as far as price.

I use the same type of nipples. However I boil mine on the stove once a week. I also wash them after 5 minutes of sitting in the sink. Don't know it that's what helps it, but something seems to be working as I haven't had any residue on them. Try boiling them on the stove and not letting them sit in the sink.
I don't have a dish washer either

Which type of nipples do you use? I used the clear silicone ones and washed them in hot soapy water plus boiled them to sterilize them once per week. If that doesn't work, then replace them. It's recommended that you replace them every couple of months anyway.

How did they get greasy? I always wash the baby bottles and nipples first in very hot water then the rest of the dishes. You probably can get them clean but if you are worried just replace them.

Where are the greasy residue from? Are you putting breast milk into bottles? The grease should come off easily with regular dish washing liquid. After you've clean them, put them into a bottle sanitizer and that should get off any residual oils and 'bacteria' from the bottles and nipples.

Dish soap and a bottle brush. I've got one with a smaller end that I just swirl around inside the nipple.

We bought one of those holders for the dishwasher that holds nipples, pacifiers, rings, teethers, etc... and that works great. If the nipples are sticky they are breaking down from washing and saliva so throw them away. Good luck

I don't know what you would have grease from but if you soak them in hot soapy water that should clean them. If that doesn't work than you should just buy new ones.

I would just buy new ones. I suppose you could use those plastic booster products, but for what it's worth, your money would probably be better spent on new nipples.
