I'm not particularly fashion savvy, but I don't want to end up looking frumpy! How can I keep up with the really obvious trends that only change every few years? I'm thinking about things like wearing short or long socks, small or big tshirts, etc.

Is there some kind of fashion site for dummies/everyday people? All I've found before was so very trendy that it wasn't helpful.

My best advice is just to watch popular TV shows and read magazines and take notice of how people are dressed. You don't have to try to imitate Paris Hilton (and please don't!) but you'll get a sense of what is commonplace.

trends are never good to follow. go with more signature pieces of clothing that show your style instead of the current trend. Make sure everything fits right and that it's faltering and everything will work out hopefully.

You do not have to follow trendy styles to look your best. If you're comfortable in what you like then thats when you'll look your best. Whether it's classy or 70's chic !
