To play soccer, you mean? Because until VERY recently, the US hasn't really been a serious contender in World Cup soccer, so good players had no reason to come here from Mexico, when they could just as easily (and more profitably) go to another country that takes soccer more seriously. Really, have you HEARD of the L.A. Galaxy? The New England Revolution? We don't even know about our OWN TEAMS here in the US, other than the national team we send to the World Cup to get spanked most years. Why join a losing team?

really the Mexican League is just way better than the MLS. And it really doesn't have anything to do with soccer not being popular here in the U.S; The pay is more in Mexico and the instituions are really good as well. And I don't think that Mexican players would want to wear the U.S. jersey....they love Mexico!

cuz soccer is not popular here. There is not a lot of job openings for soccer players. All clubs are struggled in finance. Only if they import famous players, such as David Beckham, they would start to sell more tickets. I don't see any Mexican players can make such impact in tickets sales.

Because the Mexican League is much better than MLS, more competitive, and it pays a whole lot more.
Soccer players are the only ones that will never migrate to the U.S.

mls sucks. mexican soccer is way better. soccer is not that big here. it's all about basketball and football (American). a lot of the players would rather play in their own country. but there are some Mexicans here: Palencia, Garcia, Suarez-Chivas USA and others.

The Mexican soccer league is still seen as superior to the MLS and until recently mexican players thought of the mls as a league to retire in.

Because they have a better league and don't have the need to play there when their leage is better. Pride and Prestige. It's that simple.

because MLS sucks and they don't want to lose their job to get a worst one, besides there are Americans that hate soccer they think that soccer is gay or stupid but i can think the same about base-ball ..

they make like 10 times more money playing in the mexican league, and all the players of Latin America want to emigrate to the europian leagues specially "la liga"(Spain) "el calccio"(Italy) or the premiere league(england) they dont even consider MLS.
