Definitely. Cheating does NOT have to be physical. It can be actions, words, thoughts, and or physical. My ex had an emotional affair with a co-worker. He thought like some people think: it has to be physical to be an affair. Not true. ANY thoughts, actions, words, emotions, etc that are not about or towards your mate whether you are dating or married) is cheating.

I have always wanted to ask this question but I always seem to have the chatting police on my back so I haven't. So thank you.
Anyway, I don't consider light funny flirty connections to be cheating but if there is a real emotional connection then yeah that is cheating. And if the person is still in your thoughts after you sign off it's obviously going further than just having fun. I personally have never had "cyber sex" so I am not really an expert on the subject. And I have had one cocktail too many tonight and will probably look at this answer tomorrow and say WTF?

imo, yes. anything that has any sexual overtones or undertones, while not physical, is cheating in an emotional sense, as what should be kept between two people has not been, and it will many times lead to the physical realm. I wouldnt put up with it. The computer would be slammed into the nearest wall, dude would be out the door, and then i'd upgrade to a new Dell.

Well i am gonna have to disagree with my girlfriend sherbear on this one. I love her and would never physically cheat on her but i do occasionally talk dirty to some of my friends on here.

Absolutely. Ask yourself this: would you want your spouse doing it behind your back? If the answer is no...then you're cheating. Anything you won't do in front of your partner is cheating.

I think that having any form of physical lust with someone besides your mate is cheating.
