There are several types of private airports however it boils down to one in that these places are privately owned and maintained. Some allow anyone to land at them at their own risk while others forbid anyone but themselves or invited guests to land.

In an emergency however anyone can land at a private airport but you better be very sure it is an emergency.

a private airport is where planes of things like companies would land private jets, or anybody with their own plane. Not everybody uses jumbo-jets you know
