Average age for walking is 9-17 months old...
My daughter took her first step when she was 17 1/2 months old. Once she could crawl anywhere she needed to go and stand up at the other end, talking was a higher priority for her. :-) Don't worry if she's developing--even if slowly and even if only in other areas. If she seems to not be developing in fine motor coordination and talking (etc.), then talk to your pediatrician.

Right around a year is normal. Of course, some babies walk at 9 months and others not until 15 months. Every baby is different.
My older daughter started cruising well (walking while holding onto furniture) at 9-10 months before she really crawled. At a year, she was a pro at walking while pushing a cart. However, she didn't take a single unassisted step until 13.5 months, and then she really wanted to be off and running.
My younger daughter never really cruised, and she started walking at 11 months.
I'm sure your little guy will be walking before you know it! (And you'll be running to catch up to him!)

My son walked around holding furniture at 9 1/2 months old. By 11 months he would walk anywhere as long as you held his hands. However, he did not walk by himself until 13 months. There is no "right" time, kids will walk when they're ready.

All children do things at different ages. My son was walking by himself at 11 1/2 months. My cousin is almost that age, but he just started pulling himself up on the couch, but my other cousin is only 3 weeks older than him and she's been walking for a few weeks now.

My baby started walking at 10 months and hasn't stopped. He is now 3. Most start walking at 12-14 months, I believe this is the norm. My neice started walking at 9 months so it just depends on your child. How old is he?

I have 4 kids. My oldest walked at 7 1/2 months(way early), next 2 at 12 months, and my youngest at 9 months.
It varies from child to child. Don't rush it. Pretty soon you will be chasing him around wishing you could turn your head without worrying for just a minute
