if you dont wear underwear regularly you might want to keep a pair or two handy in your locker at school, or a pair in your backpack/purse.
you should wear underware though, its the socially acceptable thing to do. I doubt you want to be considered trampy. what did your parents teach you?
your period doesnt stop just cuz its dark out. they make "overnight" pads for those who need the thicker lining qt night, personally, mine becomes very light at night though and I only use a liner at night.
if you suddenly get your period when you are out n about, you can always pull out a length of TP, fold it up, and stick that in your panties till you get around to finding what you need.

Don't be scared, having your period is natural. Your period, and this depends on your body, will be anywhere from 3 to 7 days long. It will occur 24 hours a day for those 3 to 7 days. Most women experience mild cramping (so don't be afraid of being in agony, it won't be a horrible pain that you feel). Also, start wearing underwear. You'll need to so that you can wear the sanitary napkins. When you are comfortable with the idea, you may want to consider tampons. Hope this helps.

Well your gonna need to wear underwear if your on your period. Its good that when you start you mark it in a calendar that way you know the next time your gonna start. If your scared of bleeding through from using pads..there's always tampons (but you'll have to get the good kind) because you can bleed through them to. Just be sure you change your feminine products when you need to so you stay fresh and clean. G/L

I'm more scared of you not wearing underwear - doesn't THAT hurt?? Most often, your period happens during the day....probably while you are at school....
what are you going to do when you do have your period and are not wearing underwear...
I can't believe your question - do you have a mother? does she know you don't know about your period and that you aren't wearing underwear...gross

Yes, you do bleed at night, just not so much since you arent very active. You will need to wear underwear, even if you use a tampon. You will definetly get signs before it comes and when it does, you will start to spot a bit. So, it's not like you will be gushing all over the place when it comes unexpectedly.

I do get mine, and it goes through the night also. ttjz31065 I know I can use only certain kinds, and Tampax Pearls are the best I have found so far. Most of the others hurt me.

Miranda.....Just curious what you consider "the good kind." I'm trying to find a better kind that doesn't leak thru. I use regular Playtex. Haven't tried super playtex yet.
