Please note-I answered this question earlier this week. The question has since been resolved-so this is just a repost.
Are there any gay Muslims, Jews, or Christians out there?
Of course there are gay Muslums, Jews, and Christians. While I have been raised Christian I can most identify with the latter of the three, but all gays and lesbians have encountered issues with these religions because they are all Abrahamic and therefor take many similar opinions on the subject with one another.
The one religion I was brought up-Christian-is becoming more gay friendly in these devisive times. While Catholocism has taken a strong stance against homosexuality-it still has followers who are organised to fight for gay rights within its church. The American Episcopal Church of course has appointed a gay bishop in Massachussets which makes a bold statement on how that denomination is prepared to include gays and lesbians. Also the Prespyterian Church has recently voted to allow gays and lesbians to be ministers and lay-people at the local level (See link below).
While there is progress being made, I find that while most churches are teaching inclusion-it is under the pretense that being homosexual is still wrong and that gays and lesbians should be accepted out of pity with the expectations that they should repent for their sexuality. I disagree with this as gays and lesbians should be accepted into a Christian community free of the supposed guilt and stigma attached to their sexuality.
There are pro-gay Christian oranisations operating-though I have never attended their services. The Universalists I have been told are very supportive of their gay followers.

Living a homosexual lifestyle is a sin just the same as any other sin. Homosexuals are not the only people guilty of sin, we all fall short of the glory of God. But the Bible tells us that when we accept Jesus that we should go and sin no more. God wants us to turn away from the things that seperate us from Him. He knows that we cannot do that without His help and through Him is the only way that you will be free from the bondage of this world. I have heard many people say that Christians hate gays and I for one am truly sorry that they believe this. If there are so called "christians" that are behaving this way then they are no better that those that they condemn. The Bible also tells us not to judge one another. We all have plenty of shortcomings and should probably focus on our own rather than those of others. I am a Christian, and I firmly believe that homosexuality is a sin, plain and simple. I say this because I read it in my Bible. I find it very distressing that there are people who are teaching and preaching that it is ok. I feel that so many people are being deceived by this. If someone is telling you that God made you this way then I ask you to please seek God for yourself and ask him to reveal the truth to you. No one should fully rely on any one else whether it be a pastor or a scholar or your best friend. If you seek the truth then He will show you the truth, you just have to be willing to accept it. My advise is to get a Bible and look up the things that you don't have answers to. I'll be praying that you find the answers that you are looking for within your heart and that you find the greatest truth of all. . .JESUS.

Yes, a homosexual can be a Christian, but he or she should not be "actively" engaging in homosexual activities, because according to the Bible, that is sinful.
But if you are truly penitent, and are trying to control your urges, rather than acting on them, the church can be a support to help you leave that chapter of your life behind. A church should not turn you away without trying to help you, nor should they accept you with open arms and tell you that it doesn't matter what you do wrong. The ideal church accapts you with open arms AND tries to counsel or direct you along a path of righteousness, recognizing that we all screw up, but that's not an excuse.
I realize that this may sound offensive, but that's not my intention. We all have unclean thoughts. The homosexual feelings one may experience are part of our sinful nature - I would bet that more everyone in the world has "wondered" at one time or another. However, the key is to recognize that those thoughts are sinful, and thus, instead of going out to do what feels good, that you sincerely try to practice self-control and ask for forgiveness.

God loves the sinners and not the sins. There are always some underlying reasons why a person is gay or lesbians and they might not be even aware of this reason. We call this spiritual roots.
Talk to a pastor or minister who is in the deliverance ministry. They are able to help.

There are many churches of the Christian variety that openly accept gays into their ministry, there are even churches that have gay clergy. Now I am an atheist, so what do I know, but isn't being Christian how you feel inside, not what others think?

There are plenty of gay Christians in the world, including my partner. (I was raised Catholic, but now consider myself agnostic.)
Plenty of Christian churches not only allow gay members, but have gay pastors, bishops, etc.
Have a look at John 3:16, the most famously quoted passage in the Bible: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, hat whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
There is no exception made in that verse for anyone, gay, straight, or otherwise. It simply says that anyone who believes is welcome. Anyone.
And yes, it really is that simple.
Everything else you hear on this topic is simply personal bias against homosexuals, thinly disguised by mentioning only very selectively chosen Old Testament verses taken out of context.
People have been taking this verse or that verse out of context to justify anything and everything, for about as long as the Bible has been in existence. This includes war, genocide, slavery, etc. Sad, but true.

lol, majority of gay are in Christian countries, and countries that allow gay marriage are Christine too, what you are trying to ask All religions are from God, there is only one God who created this universe he is the Creator, he sent his different messengers among thousands of years with many messages that are different but same in content and all messages call for good manners and prohibit bad ones. One of the things that are prohibited in all messages or religions is Adultery acts including gay acts not being a gay but gay acts (sex)

Sexual orientation is a human concern, and not a spiritual one.
Even if it is a spiritual issue, then let's go to the very root of the word:
Christians are followers of Christ. If you follow Christ, and His teachings (which I never found anything about that shalt not homo), then you are, by definition a Chrisitan.)

It is possible to be gay and Christian because everyone sins and according to the Bible homosexuality is simply a sin.
