Gift certificates to grocery stores or bookstores are always nice. So are tickets to movies.

I would buy a large basket and fill it with goodies that you know she will like. Anything from food to books to movies, whatever. We always make a care-basket for my great-aunt on her birthday and she loves it!!! It's a very unique gift and doesn't require too much work or money. We normally only end up spending about $50 on it. She always returns the basket back to us when she's gotten everything out so that we can fill it up again the following year without having to keep buying baskets!!!

You can find cheap, nice-looking baskets at Hobby Lobby and Michael's.

Well we don't know your Aunt or your budget, so this is not easy. Does she like to cook? Get her a cookbook?

Does she walk and workout....Timex has a cardiac monitor that tells things like calories burned and time in the zone.

If she likes music and has a computer..she might love an iPod to use when walking?

What is her favorite restuarant..take her out.

Does she like to travel...something to make travel easier, some travel books on a place of interest.

Tickets to a play.

The list is endless. Be creative.

There are some very nice photo albums (mahogany even!) at Things Remembered that you can put an engraved plate on. Talk to your other relatives and see if there are any pictures that they can 'donate' to you. Let her fill up the rest of the book. I gave something like this to my great-grandma and she loved it.

take her to dinner
put together a photo album of fun times
get her something that reminds her of her childhood/past, like a game that's not made anymore, or a childhood toy that she used to play with but lost. you can find them on the internet
buy her a card and some flowers (make sure to spend more than ten dollars )

A woman any age loves to be pampered. I always get the older ladies in my family a basket of lotions, creams & body sprays from Bath & Body works and they love it.

How about a CD with songs that she likes to hear or a gift card to Walmart or Target.

well don't give her anything really old. Make her feel young. Maybe a teenager would like. Nothing bad though. Of course.

see if you can find a really good old photo of her when she was a kid from a relative and have it framed.
Or send her on a vacation.
