Let me make things more clear.....I am trying to burn a DVIX movie to be played on an LG DVD player.(it has Mp4 playback capability).
Now how do I do that ?

i really don't think u can do that
there r some special palyers that can play both DVD and DivX

Yes this is possible, first of all, you need to download Codecs for playing these movie formats in your existing media player.. this works amazing and requires very less space on your hardisk.

divx and xvid are codecs that let you watched compressed movies on your computer. you need to convert the movie from .avi, .mpg, or whatever video file to .vob, which is the the file format for dvd. you can use ImToo dvd converter.
