It means whether or not they have poise and confidence. If you were walking down the street and two equally pretty girls came towards you, one walking with her head held high, her back straight, looking people in the eyes, completely confident and self-assured, and the other came towards you looking at the ground, shoulders a bit rounded, hair in her eyes, shuffling her feet, chances are that the one who walks with confidence will recieve a better reception.....not because she is more beautiful or anything but because she carries herself better. It's a description of one's view of themselves.....not always accurate but there all the same.

They way the portray themselves to others. You can "carry yourself" with dignity, attitude, confidence, etc.

I'm not sure where it derives from, but it basically means the way they make themselves look to others from a distance (without the person actually talking to them or knowing them, just appearance). Think of it as the type of attitude they "carry" with them.

It means it's the way they take care of them selves, how they walk, how they give off their persona to others. Kinda like when you see some one for the first time, how do they present themselves to others? Are they groomed, do they care about how they look. Alot of the time if someone is very confident they walk with thier head held high, if not they look towards the ground.Make sense?

The way that people act, like if they act all goofy or don't stand up straight. It is just the first impression that someone may get of you. You carry yourself well, if you behave in a proper manner

It means the way you walk, the way you talk, the way you communicate with others, how your body language is interpreted by others and your overall etiquette. Basically how you are seen by others on the outside but not necessarily how you really are in all aspects of your life.

It means their bearing, their demeanor, the way they walk, the way they move, how they hold their body. The way someone carries himself may make him appear self-confident or arrogant or timid or self-effacing. It's all in the attitude and body language.

Their attitude and posture. If you are bent over and have a bad attitude, you're seen as pessimistic and beaten. If you stand straight and are forward looking and optimistic, you're seen as successful. To "carry" oneself is one's carriage, one's "front" to the world, your bearing.

how someone acts, how they react, the things that someone does. really its about how someone treats themself and how they act around others. if you run your mouth and cuss alot, you are carrying yourself in an offensive and destructive manner.
