Because believe it or not, a couple of people have told me that. They were for Westley and now that he's not in, they'll likely vote for someone they don't like and voted against Proposition-wise (Schwarzenegger), just because they don't like Angeles. That's kind of scary--just because yes he's boring, was a developer (Schwarzenegger has even shadier dealings with special interests who are already drilling in Baja California immediately after he was elected), and has an ethnic name, doesn't mean he's not at least a slightly better alternative to Schwarzenegger. Have Californians already forgotten about the special election and trying to take pensions away from police and firefighters? When there's a rat in office shouldn't you make sure you vote him out when the opportunity is there? Angeledes can always be gotten rid of, too.

Puhleez. I voted for Westly myself (and was disappoointed that he lost), but I'll still hold my nose and vote for the remaining alternative to Schwarzenegger. And I chose Westly based on the issues, but now that he's no longer a choice, I have no problem voting for Angeledes.

And as embarrassing as it is, I voted for Schwarzenegger the first time because like most Californians, I hated Grey Davis. So think before you pre-judge me based on my choices.

Many people vote by name. It has been proved that an easy to say or recognize name like an actor or even someone with same name as actor or singer will get more votes. The survey was done I think in the 2002 elections.

I don't give a s*** about his name, I felt Westly had a more pro-environment platform. But, us Westly voters lost, so why are you whining?
