ok...the best is...free of course....www.download.com.....get: adaware...and spybot search and destroy.....use both them....make sure you check for updates every single week....what one doesn't catch the other does....been using them for 3 years with no problems....the best free software on the net....

skybird, you should check your temporary internet files folder and look the the sites your sons been visiting, myspace doesnt have any spyware and trojans on it because you cant download anything from the site and the site doesnt copy any cookies to your comp except for advertisements and login information
as for the spyare situation, spybot is by far the best, and make sure to use a registry cleaner so itll remove the spyware registry entries otherwise youll keep getting them
if its free from microsoft id be wary of its reliablility, microsoft doesnt have a very good rep on free products

3. Adware SE
4. Hijackthis

Well, i had the same problem.. I was looking at something I wasn't supposed to (wink, wink)... Anyway, everything they had you have to pay for, so I had to do the Full Recovery program disk, that comes with the computer, and what it does is, it starts your computer completely over as if it's a new computer or something... Good luck, my computer hasn't had any problems since. You just have to stay off of illegitimate sites. That's all I can recommend..
