The Great Wall of India --- Rahul Dravid
The most consistent Batsman India has ever produced. The greatest example would be, just concluded India vs West indies Test match, When almost all Indian Team failed to score..Who stood Tall.. ofcourse the Great Wall -- and he has done this time and again for India.

When we consider consistency its Dravid alone whom we can depend on blindly. What a performance even in the worst of pitches. Even when Jerome taylor was seaming his ball and all Indian Batsmen looked at him like a nightmare still Dravid proved his skills. But as far as variety in shots, timing the ball in no time, shot selection, team building, foot work, everyhting Rahul has proved himself. But we should never forget Sachin also who had scored a lot and yet to score. He has proved himself at many occasions. Inspite of keeping the wicket he can aslo keep the scoreboard ticking at a higher rate than Dravid if he stays on the crease after a 50. But I think inthis point of Strike rate he takes time. But however I would give my vote to Dravid and Sachin since I like both and they are the best forever....

I hate to say it, but It is Dravid. Though he is incredibly slow, he is the most consistent of all Indian players.
